Daisy Pulls It Off rehearsals have been in full swing this Autumn Term, with dedicated sessions for dancing, singing and acting, including a dress rehearsal this past Sunday.

The entire cast and crew are brimming with excitement as they prepare for the upcoming production scheduled from Wednesday 22nd November 22nd to Saturday 25th November 25th 2023.

Mr Stratton (Director of Drama and Dance) reflected about the production: “As we enter the second half of the Autumn Term, the cast and crew of Daisy Pulls It Off, our highly anticipated November theatre production, will be busy adding the final details to the show. The students involved, all from Years 11-Upper Sixth, have worked incredibly hard, dedicating time and effort to regular rehearsals in order to make the performances unmissable! Performed by a split cast over a four-show run, Daisy Pulls It Off tells the story of Daisy Meredith, the new girl, who is the first scholarship student to attend the Grangewood School for Girls.

“The privileged students are determined to make Daisy look bad in the eyes of the administration; an administration that has its own problems, financial ones. Daisy wins over her chums and saves the school when she cracks a secret code, finds a treasure and saves the life of her chief nemesis all on the same night! The show was a long running success in London's West End and is billed as an inventive spoof of English school girl adventure novels which delights audiences.

“The students and staff have had a brilliant time putting the production together and we'd love to see lots of the BGS community in the audience.”
