We are super proud of Arlana Cunningham (Year 6), who has qualified for the 2025 Irish Dancing World Championships (Oireachtas Rince Na Cruinne) after outstanding performances at the Southern England Regionals in London.
Representing the Herlihy Burgoine School of Irish Dancing, Arlana’s group secured first place in their age category, while she achieved an impressive fourth place in her solo performance. This was her first year eligible to compete individually, making her accomplishments even more impressive.
Her group competes in the under-10s and under-13s categories, while Arlana dances as a soloist in the under-10s.
Reflecting on the experience, Arlana said: “There were so many dancers, which made me feel nervous but also confident because I had lots of support. This was my first year doing a solo in this competition, and I enjoyed it very much – I am excited for the World Championships with my team.”
We look forward to celebrating Arlana’s continued success in Irish dancing.
