On Wednesday 27th September, four students in Years 11-Upper Sixth were selected to participate in the UKMT Mathematics Olympiad for Girls.

The competition is aimed at girls and young women across the UK and consists of five challenging problems. The top scoring students will receive a Certificate of Distinction or a Certificate of Merit depending on their score. All our students achieved a score above the mean, which is around 18 (out of 50).

Summer Akhtar (Year 11) and Sophia Knight (Upper Sixth) were both awarded Certificates of Merit, while Alicia Hui (Lower Sixth) and Mia Krnic (Upper Sixth) received Certificates of Distinction! Notably, Mia was also the top-performer in the school for this competition.
