Sixth Form The Bridge Careers Service

By Mrs Whitlock (Head of The Bridge Careers Service)

Lower Sixth students and their parents/guardians focused on life post-BGS at the Bridge Careers Service’s Higher Education afternoon and evening on Wednesday 5th February. With changes taking place this year to application deadlines and a new format for the UCAS personal statement, our speakers delivered excellent presentations on how to make well informed decisions in the coming months, before submitting applications that will reflect their potential and support successful outcomes.

A range of universities from across the UK were represented at each event, including the University of Birmingham, Nottingham Trent University, University of Sheffield and Norwich University of the Arts. Sessions included How to choose the right Course and University; Creative Careers; Successful Applications to Medicine and Dentistry; and Aspiring to Oxbridge.

Parents left well-informed and appreciative of the time they had with each university representative, as well as members of BGS.
