In mid-February talented skier Holly Tutt (Lower Sixth) competed in the FIS English Alpine Championships in Bormio, Italy.

The FIS races are international and each race is for Senior (over 21), U21, and U18 athletes combined. Holly scored a Personal Best of 100.83 points in the Giant Slalom (which means she qualifies for the England team for next season). She was 20th and 24th in the 2 x Giant Slalom races (2nd GB skier in her year group) both days, 7th & 5th GB U18 and 10th all nations U18 on both days. A great result for a first-year FIS racer who has to start in the later bib numbers.

In the Super G race on the renowned Stelvio piste in Bormio (where one of the most difficult World Cup downhill & Super G races are held each December), Holly absolutely flew to come 9th overall all ages/nations and 3rd GB U18. This is an amazing achievement for her. The Stelvio is famous for being very steep and icy and including the San Pietro jump - you need to be very brave!

Currently, Holly is a member of the Alpine Performance Racing (APR) team, headquartered in Valdidentro, in the picturesque Italian Alps. In December 2023, Holly was selected to receive funding from The Ladies' Ski Club. The Ladies' Ski Club raises funds to support elite British female athletes with annual awards and aims to increase female participation in snow sports.
