A group of Guild and DAHSA committee members and former teachers attended the formal opening of the revamped Sixth Form House on Monday.
With a raft of renovations being made to the area over the summer holidays, including reverting back to the Sixth Form House front door, the old girls and ex-teachers were eager to see the new look.
Taken on tours of the Sixth Form House by Girls’ Leadership Group members, the alumnae and teachers also enjoyed canapés and sparkling wine in the Common Room.
The Common Room refurbishment was made possible by kind donations from the Guild, DAHSA and the BGS Alumnae.
In addition, the evening saw the unveiling of prints of famous alumnae, which don the Common Room walls, including the late Jocasta Innes, a writer and journalist, Olympic gold medallist Dr Stephanie Cook and leading scientist, Professor Lucie Green.
