Alumnae

Imogen Marchant (Arts Captain, Upper Sixth)

On Monday, girls across the school were lucky enough to receive insights from Bedford High School alumna Helena Prettyman (2012), a training professional actor and National Youth Theatre (NYT) representative as part of the school's Lunchbox Lecture series.

The opportunity to have an informal chat and presentation with someone with industry experience generated some great conversations not only about the benefits of working with NYT, which offers incredibly diverse opportunities to young actors interested in becoming professional, but about the industry as a whole.

Learning about the huge range of opportunities and companies offered by the NYT was immensely inspiring, as we were able to see the many different ways we could develop our passions. From workshops and shows, to screen technique and Shakespeare, it was certainly comforting to see that there truly are opportunities for every person to 'find their niche' in the world of performance.
