With the UCAS deadline passing on Monday, the Upper Sixth are receiving a wealth of offers from top universities.
88% of the current Upper Sixth cohort applied to university this year (with an additional three applying for Art Foundation and four taking gap years).
Our girls continue to choose wide-ranging courses, with a high proportion being STEM based, including Biology, Biochemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Physics and Psychology.
Mrs Lowe, Head of Careers, said: “As the new Head of Careers I have been very impressed with all of our current students competently applying via UCAS ahead of deadlines. Personal Statements displayed a high standard of writing and unique experiences. The Upper Sixth are currently receiving or eagerly awaiting offers and concentrating on their mock exams.
“UCAS are looking for a range of students to form their Student Advisory Group, and act as the student voice at UCAS. The application can be found on the UCAS website. There will also be a chance for the Lower Sixth students to attend a UCAS exhibition in the summer term. 98% of teachers said visiting an exhibition meant their students were better informed to make choices about their futures.”
