We are so proud of the following members of our alumnae community who raised an astonishing £38,000 between them at the London Marathon last Sunday, for a number of charities:
Philippa Abruzzese (née Healey, DAHS 1999 & BHS 2001) and Dad - Marie Curie UK, Lottie Bruce (BGS 2014) – Pancreatic Cancer UK, Rebecca Downing-Holmes (BGS 2017) for the NSPCC, Rebecca Hutchings (BGS 2015) - Beat, Kirstie Moffat (BGS 2016) – Parkinson's UK and Erin Osgood (BGS 2017), also for Parkinson's UK, Chelsea Spanoudakis (BGS 2017) for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Children's Charity.
Additionally, congratulations to Olivia Perkins (BHS 2005) and Nicola Gotzheim (née Sharman, BHS 1991) who have also raised an incredible £13,000 for Cancer Research UK. The cycling duo rode from Lands’ End to John O Groats; this involved cycling 980 miles over 9 days, camping every night, climbing 54000ft in all weathers and Nicola also had a mechanical failure on the last day which meant she did the last 75 miles on 2 gears.
What amazing role models for our students!
