Many congratulations trailblazing music agent and Bedford High School alumna, Emma Banks (1986), was crowned the winner of the prestigious Strat Award at the recent Music Week Awards (24th May) showcase.
The leading agent was presented with The Strat – awarded annually to an industry icon – by singer Becky Hill.
Hosted by BBC Radio 1’s Vick Hope, the sold-out event took place at Battersea Evolution and was attended by more than 1,400 industry guests. The awards ceremony is unique in that it represents companies and executives across the music industry. The awards across 24 hotly-contested categories – all independently judged – reflect success during 2022.
Emma is Co-Head of the Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in London and is one of the most successful and respected talent agents in the music business. Her current roster includes Katy Perry, Arcade Fire, Florence + The Machine, Kylie Minogue, Red Hot Chili Peppers and many others.
A multifaceted business woman, Emma is also the Vice-Chairman of newly promoted Premier League football club, Luton Town, and owner of racehorse, Lady Bowthorpe.
