Sixth Form House has undergone a major refurbishment this summer in a bid to further improve the learning environment.

The Sixth Form corridor has received an eye-catching facelift, with a graffiti artist turning all 200 lockers into a sea of green and black bearing the school’s eagle emblem.

The Common Room has also been redecorated and fitted with new furniture, while the entrance has been moved back to Sixth Form House.

Furthermore, the Careers Department has been relocated to the heart of the building, the Sixth Form loft has been turned into a silent study area and there’s been a dedicated space created for students to attend lunchtime lectures with external speakers.

“In the Sixth Form House we wanted to create a brighter, more modern environment that addresses the needs of our Sixth Formers,” said Miss MacKenzie, Bedford Girls’ School Headmistress.

“Over the course of the last year we have asked the girls what they have wanted in the Sixth Form space, to make it a more conducive learning environment. We believe these changes have done that.”
