Whole School Music

The Music Department brought 2015 to a fitting end at Bedford Girls' School with the Junior and Senior School Christmas Concerts this week.

Starting with the Junior School event on Monday night (7th December) in the Randle Hall, which included the Junior School Orchestra’s performance of Jingle Bells and the Recorder Club’s rendition of the carol – Away in a Manger.

The following evening (8th December) was the turn of the Senior School, with Bedford School students performing alongside the girls on some of the numbers.

With a variety of solo and group acts wowing a packed Assembly Hall, ranging from Wednesday Night Jam’s performance of Ben E King’s Stand by Me to the Bel Canto Choir’s singing, together with the audience, of O Come All Ye Faithful.

Miss Turner, Acting Director of Music, said: "I was exceptionally proud of the girls' performances. Together with the music staff, they worked incredibly hard in preparation for tonight's concert and they certainly did not disappoint."
