Congratulations to Grace Spong (Upper Sixth) who has successfully qualified for the prestigious British Swimming Championships (1st – 4th March 2018) in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The Championship is the highlight of the national events calendar, with over 500 competitors travelling from all corners of the UK to take part in this prestigious event. Grace has qualified to swim in the 50m backstroke and 50m butterfly.

Miss Gray, PE Teacher and swimming coach adds: “Grace has been an outstanding role model and inspiration for our younger swimmers. She has worked alongside Mr Castro (Head of Swimming) to ensure she balanced her busy training schedule with the demands of her academic studies. Her success is a result of her hard work and dedication to both her School and club swimming. We can’t wait to see how she progresses in the future.”

The PE Department would also like to take this opportunity to thank Grace and Vice-Captain Charlotte Anderson for all their help and support with the junior swimming teams.
