Many congratulations to Isobel (Upper Sixth) and Mollie (Year 11) who successfully won the Cadet Challenge Shield, as part of the Bedford School CCF.

The CADSAAM competition is a national shooting competition for CCF and ACF contingents in the Eastern Area and was shot at Beckingham Ranges near Lincoln on Sunday 9th September.

The competition was composed of four separate shoots, shot over ranges of 100 to 300 metres and the Bedford School team won three; the Montgomery of Alamein, the Earl Roberts and the Falling Plate and narrowly missed out on the Section Attack. The two Fire Teams achieved first and second places across the entire competition and the Team itself won overall, winning the Cadet Challenge Shield.

The School last won this shield when the competition was inaugurated in 1902 (as Bedford Grammar School).
