We are delighted to announce that rising golf star Roisin Scanlon (Year 7) has qualified for the prestigious Justin Rose Telegraph Junior Golf Championships 2019 final. The event will be taking place from Monday 11th to Saturday 16th November 2019 – hosted by Quinta do Lago, Portugal.

The prestigious event has seen the likes of Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, Matthew Fitzpatrick as well as Ladies European Tour stars Jodi Ewart Shadoff and Melissa Reid emerge victorious.

Roisin’s opening round of -3 at the English Girls Under 14 Open Amateur Championships (6th August 2019) placed her joint 7th on the national leaderboard. She will be joined by 11 other girls and 12 boys and will be the youngest player and one of youngest players ever to qualify for the finals.

The top 12 in each of the boys’ and girls’ gross competitions will experience a taste of professional life not, just through the 54-hole strokeplay finals, but also a media training session, TV coverage from Sky Sports and first-class facilities and accommodation at the Portuguese resort.

Roisin reflected on her selection, she said: “I am so excited I have been given this opportunity to compete against some of the best girls in the country and to be one of the youngest ever to qualify for the finals at this prestigious event in Portugal.”
