The annual House Drama competition produced a variety of thrilling performances in the Assembly Hall on Monday evening.
Given just five weeks to prepare for the competition, each house play was performed by Year 7 girls, with students from the Lower Sixth cast as directors.
Not allowed to exceed 20 minutes, the first play saw Nightingale act out Mother Goose, which was met with rapturous applause.
With the evening off to a flying start, Parks was next up with Ali Baba, followed by Austen who performed Whittington and His Crazy Cat.
The fourth play was the winning one, as Hepburn’s version of German fairy tale Snow White had the audience in laughter throughout.
Chanel also performed a folk fairy tale with their version of Cinderella, while Franklin rounded off the competition with Captain Hook.
Miss MacKenzie, Headmistress, said: “There was some real talent on show and all the girls did their houses – and the school – proud.
“The most pleasing aspect of the competition was to see the Year 7s and Lower Sixth strike up a real bond, which meant they could work together to put on such fabulous performances in a short space of time.”
