Last week was a very enjoyable set of fixtures for all hockey players. The girls competed in 11 matches against strong opponents, Felsted School. After some great performances, the girls won 6, drew 3 and lost 2. Stand out performances were the U13As winning 3-2 and the U15Bs winning 5-0. It was Felsted School’s spirit of sport weekend and this was definitely shown by all teams on Saturday.

We also had three hockey teams competing extremely well in regionals and tournaments, with the U10s playing their first fixtures of the season in the Witham Hall tournament. On Wednesday, the first team progressed to the fourth Round of the England Hockey Cup competition with a hard fought 2-1 victory against Stowe School.

Congratulations to Maddie Axford (Lower Sixth) and Florence Miller (Year 11) who have also been selected for the final England Hockey U18 and U16 squads respectively, and will play for England in International fixtures from February 2020.
