To carry on the Christmas theme at the school this week, the Music Department held its annual Christmas Concerts for friends and families in both the Junior and Senior Schools, and what memorable concerts they were!

Embracing the challenges of working in COVID secure ways the Music Department transformed a rehearsal room into a Christmas themed recording studio and have worked tirelessly over the last few weeks recording stunning performances from across the whole school, reflecting the huge range of talent and musical genres on offer at BGS

Mr Keating-Roberts (Director of Music) said: “Creating a solution to deliver virtual concerts has been a challenge, but also provided us with an incredible opportunities for our students as they had to perform in a different way, working in small groups and really honing in on their individual performances. Recording live music requires huge amount of patience and hard work from both the students and the Music teachers, who have taken on the roles of recorders, mixer and producers, but is also great fun and students really enjoyed being part of the process. It is lovely to share the results with the whole community and we hope it bring some Christmas cheer to you all.”
