Whole School Community

On Wednesday, our students and staff were united and laced up in support of LGBTQ+ inclusivity to raise awareness of Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces campaign. Everyone embraced the initiative: the School was a colourful spectrum of rainbow accessories, from headwear to footwear to face masks, sending an important message whilst brightening up this winter day.

Service Captain, Shreya Arun (Upper Sixth) said: “At BGS we strive for inclusion and make sure everybody feels represented and welcomed. Everyone looked bright and colourful and I am so proud to be part of this community.”

Miss Dawson Biology Teacher (CAS & Service Coordinator) added: “A key part of our Service ethos at BGS is advocacy - standing up for others and raising awareness of social issues. Seeing the staff and students supporting the LGBTQ+ members of our school community through the wearing of rainbow accessories has shown the inclusive spirit of the BGS community.”
