Miss Huckle (Head of Netball)
Over a year later, our talented Year 10 netballers finally got to compete in the coveted Sisters n Sport National Plate 2020 Final.
The U15a netball team travelled to Bromsgrove School on Tuesday eager to compete in the final over a year after they won their semi-final. The team were incredibly excited to get back to playing some competitive netball, even if they had to follow the adapted COVID rules.
BGS pulled away at the beginning of the first quarter, but it finished as a draw. By the end of the 3rd quarter, BGS were six goals down. Throughout the game The Grange School kept their steady rhythm and managed to pull away in the 4th quarter to win the game.
Mr Mason-McLeod (Acting Director of Sport) said: “The team played incredibly well after being away from competitive netball for so long. Although they didn’t win, I’m so proud of their performance and commitment. On the day and they will grow stronger from the experience of playing in such a high intensity and competitive match.”
