It’s been a rewarding winter season for England alpine skier Holly Tutt (Year 11), who has continued her excellent downhill form at the beginning of 2023.
Competing at the Ambition Championships in Hinterreit, Austria (4th-7th January), Holly excelled on the slopes against the very best international skiers, placing 4th twice (3rd for Great Britain) in the two Giant Slalom finals and 5th & 6th in two Slalom finals.
Holly reflected: “The conditions in Austria were really tricky due to a lack of snow. The courses had to be salted for racing, which I didn’t get on with, so I was pleased to still come away with three top five placings.”
Holly is currently a member of a new race team, Alpine Performance Racing (APR), based in Valdidentro, just outside Bormio in the Italian Alps. Her next races coming up are the Welsh Alpine Championships in Champéry, Switzerland (25-27 January).
We are so proud of Holly’s achievements, she is definitely one to watch for the future!
