On Wednesday 5th March, pupils from Years 4 to 8 headed to Rowney Warren to take part in the annual Biggleswade Athletic Club Schools Relay. With the sun shining and the woodland setting providing a beautiful backdrop, it was a fantastic afternoon of racing.

The event, organised by Biggleswade Athletic Club, saw teams of three compete, with each runner completing a one-kilometre leg. The BGS teams put in a brilliant performance, demonstrating great teamwork and determination.

Our Year 4 teams had a particularly strong race, finishing in both first and second place. Well done to Olivia Marriott, Verity Muchmore and Aarya Patel, along with Gabi Cranfield, Aneeta Jabaraj and Georgina Sinclair. In Year 5, Imogen Murphy and Lily Cottier-White ran superbly to take first place, while in Year 8, Pippa Blakemore, Kitty Olds and Anna Trueman also crossed the finish line in first place.

It was a wonderful afternoon of sport and we are so proud of everyone who took part.
