On Friday 13th October, 22 students, accompanied by Miss Brice, Mr Stretton and Mrs Hudson-Findley, embarked on an exciting educational trip to the British Museum to explore the wonders of the ancient world.

The students had the opportunity to explore the amazing Roman and Greek collections, immersing themselves in the rich culture and history of the empires that shaped the world we know today. The students experienced first-hand the beauty of the sculptures, mosaics, and artefacts from that time period.

The trip was extremely beneficial for our broader learning and particularly helpful to GCSE Latin students like myself, who could explore the galleries showcasing artefacts related to our cultural studies.

Additionally, the students had the chance to visit the museum's Roman collection. Here, they explored iconic artefacts such as tombstones, armour, and jewellery, gaining a unique insight into the beliefs and practices of the ancient Romans and their influence in the surrounding area.

The trip to the British Museum was an invaluable experience for the students of Bedford Girls' School. It enabled them to gain a greater appreciation for the cultures and civilizations of the past and to learn more about their own history. The trip was an unforgettable experience for the students and a great opportunity to explore the wonders of the ancient world.
