Many congratulations to BGS alumna Holly Smith (2021), who has been selected to represent the University of Oxford in her third Varsity hockey match.

Following a hard-fought 2-0 victory against the University of Cambridge last year, Holly is set to earn her third Oxford blue in yet another competitive match-up on Sunday 3rd March, at the Southgate Hockey Centre.

We spoke to Holly about this historic sporting occasion, she said: I'm absolutely thrilled, and hugely grateful, to be gearing up for my third varsity hockey match representing Oxford. Playing hockey with this team has been the pinnacle of my university experience, creating incredible memories both on and off the pitch, and improving constantly. It's hard to believe that this is my final year, but we're ready to give it everything and soak up the amazing varsity atmosphere!”

Holly is currently in her final year studying Geography at Keble College, Oxford. As an inspiring role model for all our hockey players, we will be enthusiastically cheering for Holly and her team from the side-lines.
