After winning the coveted Intelligence Corps Competition last year, cadets from BGS and Bedford School were once again seeking to lift the trophy.
The annual competition, held at Bassingbourn Barracks on the 9th and 10th March, sees cadets showcasing their talents, which include shooting, map reading, and cooking, as well as learning new skills outside of the Army Cadet Force syllabus, in an intense and challenging competition against Combined Cadet Force (CCF) units from across the country.
Cadet Sergeant and Head of Drill, Haneha Kaur (Upper Sixth) reflected on the success of retaining the trophy: “Having been part of the winning team last year, you would think that the second year would be easier. However, it was not. As the team leader, there were multiple activities where I had to hand out tasks to the cadets who were best suited for them. There were other times where the task was solely dependent on my role as well. However, it was the most fun I had in a very long time. We had four indoor activities and four outdoor activities and even though we got caught in the rain on the second day, it added more to the experience.
“I am so proud of the Year 10 cadets who are new to the Intelligence Corps Competition, and I hope that they can carry on the winning streak next year.”
Many congratulations to following Intelligence Corps Competition Team:
