Outgoing Head Girl, Tania Chatterjee reflects on her time of leadership: “As I reflect on the past year, I cannot believe it has gone by so quickly. I am proud of all the events the GLG has done across the year, and I have really enjoyed working with them. I will cherish all the memories we have made! I am really happy with what we have accomplished with our campaign and encouraging people to step out of their comfort zone. From brainstorming ideas to executing our initiatives, I’ve felt supported by staff, which has made my role more fulfilling and enjoyable. I am grateful for the honour and opportunity to contribute to the BGS community and be a part of the GLG.
On behalf of the GLG, I also want to say a huge congratulations to the incoming GLG. I’m sure they will be fantastic ambassadors for the school and make a positive impact with their campaign and all the events they do over the next year. I hope they have just as much fun as we did. I wish Nawaal and her team all the best!
Incoming Head Girl, Nawaal Qazi said: “Receiving this position feels surreal - like a dream come true.
“I have an amazing and eager GLG team, whose excitement has been building by working towards these roles. Over the next year, I’m thrilled to lead them in their various initiatives, confident that they will approach each one with both enthusiasm and success.
“With seniority comes responsibility, and as Head Girl, that’s what I’m most looking forward to. I’m eager to bridge the gap between students and staff, enriching the BGS experience for all our students from Years 3 to Upper Sixth. Most of all, I’m excited to bring their incredible ideas to life and make a meaningful impact. Besides that, I am honoured to represent BGS and showcase our school in all its glory.”
The formal changeover will take place after the Easter holidays with the incoming GLG assuming their roles at the start of the Summer Term.
