Outgoing Head Girl, Oluwatobiloba Apesin reflects on her time of leadership: “This past year has been surreal for me and it has most definitely been time well spent, learning new things and working on different projects with not only my team but with staff as well. I’ve made memories I’ll definitely be taking forward with me. I just want to congratulate all the new GLG, especially Tash. Through my interactions with the incoming GLG, I’m sure she, like all of them, will do a fantastic job being ambassadors of the school. I wish them all the best for the future and that they have as much fun as I did.”

Incoming Head Girl, Tash Miller said: “I am absolutely thrilled and honoured to be the new Head Girl. It is such a privilege to be given this opportunity, especially as I am not only the seventh member of my family to go to this school, but now the fourth Head Girl; following on from my great aunt, grandma, and mum. No pressure on the next generation!

“Since joining Bedford Girls’ School in Year 5 I have always looked up to the Girls’ Leadership Group, and to think that I could make the same impact on younger students as previous Head Girls have had on me is incredible. I cannot wait to get started and I am confident that, with help from the brilliant incoming GLG, I can continue the excellent work of the last Head Girl, Oluwatobiloba Apesin.”

The formal changeover will take place after Easter with the incoming GLG assuming their roles at the start of the Summer Term. We thank our outgoing GLG for the excellent work that they have done during another extraordinary year.
