Lower Sixth student Freya Cooper starred in Tomcat over four nights last week (Thursday 12th January-Sunday 15th January) at the Quarry Theatre.
Freya led a cast of adult actors in what turned out to be an incredible show at St. Luke’s – part of Bedford School.
Freya played the lead role of Jess, who feels she doesn’t belong in a future world where diseases and disorders have been wiped out.
Jess slipped through the net and there’s something dangerous in her DNA, something that must be observed and, if it raises its ugly head, containment will not be enough to satisfy the authorities.
Tomcat was premiered at the Southwark Playhouse in 2015 after it won the Papatango New Writing Prize, and the Quarry Theatre played host to its first showing since the premiere.
