On Wednesday 19th September, Year 9 watched a live dramatization of Arthur Miller’s revered classic, The Crucible at the Sharnbrook Mill Theatre.
This tense and evocative play is set in Salem, Massachusetts, at the time of the witch-hunt and trials in the late 1600s. Arthur Miller’s superb play captures the tensions within the community and the battle for power, truth and respect.
Year 9 pupil, Simrit Rai said: “The Crucible was amazing; I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was performed powerfully, and was very easy to follow and a delight to watch. It was a long performance, lasting three hours. Overall, I thought it was a great play and I would definitely watch it again.”
