This week, the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) has been a hive of festive creativity as we hosted our annual Christmas Craft sessions.
With sustainability at the heart of the activities, students embraced the challenge of transforming everyday materials into delightful decorations and gifts. They crafted tree ornaments, decorative glassware, this season's must-have Gonks, and a variety of festive keepsakes using old books, kitchen roll tubes, glass jars, and donated buttons and wool.
Ms Rogers, who led the sessions, commented, “Our craft sessions offer the students a wonderful opportunity to create presents for family and friends at no cost, using items that would normally be recycled or thrown away. Some of our students have attended every year and tell us that the crafts they made are still proudly displayed at home each Christmas.”
The Christmas Craft sessions serve as a reminder of the value of reusing materials, while also giving students time to explore their creativity and enjoy a relaxed, festive activity
