Many congratulations to BGS alumna Grace Spong who has qualified for the prestigious Swim England National Winter Championships, which will be held at Ponds Forge, Sheffield, 14 – 16 December 2018.

Grace will be will be competing in the 50m and 100m Backstroke events and various relays on behalf of her club, City of Milton Keynes Swimming Club. The Championships is the biggest English swimming meet of the winter months, with Britain’s top senior swimmers often involved.

Grace, who left BGS in 2018, is currently studying an MSci Hons in Physical Geography at Lancaster University and also represents the university at the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) Championships. In October, she broke the university club record in the 50m backstroke and 50m butterfly at the BUCS Short Course Championships.
