It was a Gold medal winning performance for talented alpine skier Holly Tutt (Year 7), who won the U12 Giant Slalom at the Welsh Alpine Championships in Champéry, Switzerland (21st-25th January).

Competing against an international field, Holly won the Giant Slalom by 1.93 seconds, which in the ski-racing world is a very decent margin! She also placed 4th in the Slalom event.

Holly said: “I was really pleased to continue my season with another win, particularly as I had a big crash in training the day before. Giant Slalom is my favourite discipline and I feel I’m making some good improvements in my technique this year.”

Holly is currently in her third season with the Ambition Racing Team, spending around 10-12 weeks a year training with them. Ambition Racing is recognised as one of GBR's leading alpine ski racing academies. Founded in 2007, Ambition Racing has been responsible for producing a number of Britain's top alpine ski racers for over a decade.

Holly’s busy alpine schedule continues in 2019, next she will be competing at the English Alpine Championships in Bormio, Italy (16th-23rd February) and the British Alpine Championships in Tignes, France (8th-12th April).
