Last Thursday, new and existing BGS pupils attended an induction day in both Junior and Senior Schools, in preparation for when they join the school in September.
This was a chance for the girls to settle into their forms and meet their new classmates and teachers; they enjoyed an action packed day.
After introductions were made in the Assembly Hall, the girls entering Year 7 were split into their forms and spent the morning participating in a fun but challenging treasure hunt around the school, followed by an engaging ‘why singing is good for you’ session with Mr Keating-Roberts (Director of Music).
The girls found out all about the House System and then headed to the playing pitches, for a series of fun sports challenges.
Meanwhile in the Junior School, all the girls enjoyed a 'moving up' day. They engaged in fun classroom activities with their new teachers and making new friends.
The girls had a fantastic and rewarding day and are excited to join the school after the summer holidays.
Mrs Howe (Head of Junior School) said: “It’s been a privilege to see our Year 6 students on their journey through the Junior School. We’re certainly going to miss them but I have no doubt that they’re fully prepared to flourish in the Senior School.”
