Niru Muthiah Deputy Head Girl (Operations)

Last Saturday, the Upper Sixth girls welcomed those who have newly joined the Lower Sixth by participating in a 5K Muddy Run for Cancer Research UK together.

The eager participants took to the trails around the scenic and lively Willen Lake pathways, taking in grass and woodland areas.

This was a fun and exciting way to start the year, with the girls also promoting fitness and wellbeing, which ties in with the Respect Yourself part of the GLG campaign. Whilst we looked a bit worse for wear by the end of the run, everyone thoroughly enjoyed getting muddy for a great cause.

All the money raised will help Cancer Research UK scientists and doctors find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat the disease, helping save more lives.
