On Monday morning, the Years 8-10 students studying French were thoroughly entertained by the production Les Garçons, performed by the Onatti Theatre Company.
Les Garçons is a farce about the relationship problems of a young couple who babysit together for an evening. The 50-minute play performed by two native French actors featured audience participation and drew much laughter from the students.
Jemma Oldroyd (Year 9) said: “I felt like the actors communicated really well with the audience and, although the play was in French, they made the story easy to follow. The subject of the play was relatable and funny and everyone really enjoyed it because they were involved and could understand what was going on.
“The actors made really good use of the set and there was great chemistry between the main characters Natalie and Tristan. Overall, the play was well thought out, relatable and involved everyone: I would definitely see it again!”
