Mrs Cruse (Head of Years 7 and 10)

As part of the Years 7 and 8 ethos of being safe, welcoming, altogether and nurturing, we have started a Well-being Wednesday initiative. This is part of our Five Steps to wellbeing programme: Keep Active, Take Notice, Connect, Keep Learning and Give.

On Wednesday 16th September, the Year 7 students embarked on their first well-being activity – a leisurely walk along the beautiful Embankment in Bedford.

The girls chatted, laughed and enjoyed being in the outside, they caught up with girls in other forms and as a year group, just enjoyed spending time together. The sun shone which made the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable and really helped to spread joy through the year group. Although the sun was not shining for Year 8 on Wednesday, they enjoyed the downtime to unwind and to catch up with friends in a change of scene.

We look forward to sharing some of the health and well-being activities @BedfordGirlsSch here.
