The practical lessons are back in full swing in Food and Nutrition at BGS. Under new COVID guidelines, girls in all years are making a creative array of dishes from bread rolls in Year 7 to vegetable based dishes in Year 11. With the Great British Bake Off back on our screens, Year 9 are excitedly engaged in a cakes and bakes project and this week produced a Victoria Sandwich, a pre-empt for their attempts at the iconic Black Forest Gateaux next week.
Mrs Redfern (Acting Head of Food and Nutrition), said: “It is really exciting to see the girls engaged in creative cookery. It is an important life skill to explore the foods we consume and how to work with them in the future.”
