On Thursday 29th October, the talented BGS equestrian showjumpers headed out to the National Qualifiers for the NSEA Arena Eventing Jumping with Style Competition.

The NSEA competitions aim to promote and encourage the participation in, and recognition of, equestrian sport within schools in Great Britain.

Competing in both show jumping and cross country style jumps, the equestrians put in impressive team and individual performances. Jumping in challenging wet conditions, the team put in excellent performances on a very tricky course and left feeling very accomplished.    

Congratulations to the following equestrians:

70cm Team - Izzy Perry (Year 9), Harriet Gates (Year 10), Holly Maudlin (Year 8) and Sophia Osbourne (Year 10). Placed first and have qualified for the NSEA National Championship 2021.

70cm Individual – Harriet Gates (Year 10) placed 4th with Custard. Sophia Osbourne (Year 10) placed 6th with Rosie.

80cm Team - Izzy Perry (Year 9), Sophia Osbourne (Year 10) and Lydia Franklin (Lower Sixth).

70cm Individual - Sophia Osbourne (year 10) placed 6th with Rosie.

90cm Team - Jess White (Year 11), Ellie Mullan (Year 9) and Holly Maudlin (Year 8).

90cm Individual – Holly Maudlin (Year 8) placed 5th with Twister.

Due to the current lockdown restrictions, unfortunately all competitions are currently on hold.
