It has been a celebratory week for alumna, Lucy Findlay MBE (Bedford High School 1988), who has secured two awards this week for her work in social enterprise and environmentalism.
For the first award, Lucy is featured as one of the NatWest WISE 100: Leading Women. The Women in Social Enterprise (WISE) is a platform connecting women in the space, enabling them to learn from and inspire each other, discover collaborative opportunities and ultimately increase their social impact.
Additionally, Lucy was nominated by sustainability author, Solitaire Townsend, writing for Forbes, 100 female leading UK environmentalists.
Lucy is the Managing Director of the social enterprise mark, CIC: a Community Interest Company (CIC) is a company designed for social enterprise, using their assets and profits for public good.
In the 2019 Queen’s New Year’s Honours, Lucy received an MBE for her services to Social Enterprise.
