Mrs Garner (Business and Economics Teacher)
It’s fantastic to see Anna Hull and Karissa Singh (Upper Sixth) featured in Bedford School’s student publication, Floreat. The brainchild of Gabriel Davis, Arun Nanda and Harry Hine, all students at Bedford School. Their idea was to create a digital magazine to showcase student writers and broadcast the opinions of young people on a range of economic and political matters. The first edition was released last summer.
Mrs Garner (Business and Economics Teacher) said: “I got in touch with the Editorial Team to see if they would be willing to include articles from students at BGS and I am very pleased to say that they were more than willing to accept two articles from BGS for the second edition – from what I can tell, the selection process is competitive – so to have two BGS articles is a great achievement for the students.
Anna Hull and Karissa Singh have produced two very different articles, both perceptive and sensitive to the nuances of their subject matter. We hope that you enjoy reading not only Anna and Karissa’s articles but also those from the boys - there is an incredible breadth of topics and all demonstrate a maturity of intellect. Well done, Karissa and Anna!”
