Our ever-popular Lunchbox Lectures continued on Friday 1st October with an insightful virtual presentation about degree apprenticeships.
The programme sees a number of speakers, ranging from alumnae to business professionals, passing on their pearls of wisdom to Years 9 to Sixth Form students during frequent lunchtime sessions.
Mrs Whitlock (Head of The Bridge Careers Service) said: “The Amazing Apprenticeships Lunchbox Lecture was a great opportunity for Sixth Form students to find out more about Degree Apprenticeships and the application process. Our speaker, Chloe Thomson-Smith, even gave the attendees a chance to try out a couple of exercises that could come up in an Assessment Centre, and it was really useful to reflect on these and how we can make a positive first impression to employers.
It’s worth remembering that students who are unable to come to a Lunchbox Lecture can access each one after the event: all sessions are videoed, uploaded and accessible to all students via Planet eStream on their iPads or the home page of the school computers.
Look out for further lunchbox lectures after half term!
