Talented artist, Aleena Rafi (Year 8), was thrilled to find out her painting Amber Savannah placed first in an art competition organised by the Social Enterprise group, ABC Life Support, and in association with the Art & Soul Café in St Neots, the group were seeking for an ‘inspiring piece of art’ to hang in their office.
Aleena’s striking piece evoked a sense of emotion for the ABC Life Support team; who help people with their physical and mental health in the community. The artwork has been displayed in the Art & Soul Café this week for all to see, before being hung permanently in the ABC Life Support office.
Aleena reflected: “I’m really happy to have won this competition because it was a really good opportunity and it was amazing to see my painting on display on a gallery wall, I only started painting in April.”
Danielle Bridge (CEO of ABC Life Support) said: “Aleena has an amazing talent and this image captured our hearts and our minds. This really spoke to us as we nurture those around us, whether it be through helping or caring for them. We cannot wait to have this in our office to make us smile and appreciate the love we have in our lives.”
Many congratulations, Aleena!
