Whole School Community

Continuing with the School’s community engagement projects, the Lower Sixth are collecting items for the Bedford Women’s Centre emergency support grab bag scheme.

The Bedford Women’ Centre supports women in the community to improve the quality of life for them and their families. They offer one-to-one support and mentoring, weekly workshops, training courses and support groups for women to promote healthy relationships and eradicate Domestic Abuse.

The emergency support grab bags will be filled with essential items, which will help those fleeing domestic abuse. Please donate the following unused items:

- Toiletries/sanitary products

- Flannels

- Underwear

- Socks

- Pyjamas

Scarlet Stokes (Lower Sixth), who is helping in coordinating the initiative said: “After our clothes sale event during the Autumn Term, we were told that the funds we had raised would help to set up Bedford Women’ Centre grab bag scheme. I felt that it was really important for the school to get involved by donating any suitable items like toiletries and pyjamas, to further support our chosen charity.”

Please bring any donations to the boxes in the Assembly hall Balcony. Collections will take place until Friday 11th February.
