The sun was shining last Saturday evening as The Association hosted the much anticipated 10 year Anniversary Ball, in a luxurious marquee within the school grounds.

This glamorous black-tie event welcomed almost 250 parents, alumnae and friends of the school to enjoy a wonderful evening of dinner, dancing and entertainment by the fabulous band, The Late Shift. 

Guests enjoyed fizz on the lawn whilst enjoying music by Upper Sixth student Anna Cestaro, before entering the marquee, stunningly decorated with an expanse of flowers celebrating the school colours. 

After dinner the chequerboard dance floor provided the perfect space to dance the night away, with much fun to be had in the inflatable photo booth whilst enjoying pick n mix, cheese, cocktails and of course the odd slide of cake; after all it is our 10th birthday! 

Thank you to everyone on The Association who organised this fabulous evening allowing our school community to come together in such a wonderful setting.

One guest, Rachel said: “Seeing the marquee  packed with our friends, all dancing, laughing and having a great time was such a fantastic sight to see, particularly after such a long period during Covid where we weren’t able to come together. The whole evening was beautiful, from the flowers to the outdoor cocktails and the photo booth, we can’t wait for the next one!” 

Mrs Gibson (Headmistress) said: “The 10 Year Anniversary Ball was a wonderful occasion. Thank you to everyone who made Saturday night an unforgettable evening; it was very special to see so many of the BGS community under one roof. The Association pulled out all the stops and we celebrated in style!
