The community is busy with the final preparations for Saturday’s Culture Festival, 2:00-4:30pm.

Rehearsals have been taking place all week and students have been making their final plans for their stalls and activities. We have dance and music performances showcasing a wide range of cultures and styles including Indian, Thai, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop and Irish dancing.

Our Junior School Choir and Senior School musicians have a treat in store for our visitors with their beautiful performances and we can’t wait to see over 50 students and staff representing more than 17 cultures walk in our Cultural Parade! Our entrepreneurial students will be running stalls selling homemade cakes, jewellery and candles; whilst our younger students are teaming up with staff and older students to run games and activity stalls. Our Houses are hosting garden games so there will be lots of house points up for grabs. Greens will serve delicious cream teas and we have stunning food demonstrations from parents representing India, West Bengali, Thai, Japanese and Nigerian cuisines.

If you would like to get involved there is still time to enter the great BGS Cultural Bake Off – just bring a sweet treat that represents your culture to our Food Demonstration tent. We will be ready to welcome you all at 2.00pm, just pack a picnic blanket and be ready to enjoy an afternoon which will encapsulate the spirit of BGS!
