By Mrs Greenwood (Lacrosse Coach)
And just like that, we are back in the swing of things. Lacrosse is back with all teams participating in an action-packed Saturday morning at Cople Fields against Haberdashers' Aske's School for Girls. All teams are still trying to find their style after primarily competing in hockey and netball this term.
The addition of Lacrosse was even more exciting to the U12s who competed in their first ever lacrosse matches. Out of both teams there were five different scorers and Ava Hansen made her debut in goal with a whopping 15 saves across two matches. Their excitement showed through as celebrations erupted on the side lines from parents eager to see their first glimpse of this fast-paced game.
Our fearless U14A goalkeeper, Rekha Kimbali, made her first senior appearance as well, playing for the 2nd team in a heated match that saw great competition from both sides.
Overall the wins outnumbered the losses against Haberdashers' Aske's School for Girls and every player learned something new for their next set of matches.
