By Mrs Lizzie Thomas (Chair of The Association)
And just like that... after so much planning and hard work, so many lights and paper pompoms hung, so many sweets bought, so many huge boxes wrapped in pretty paper... the BGS Association Christmas Fayre has been and gone for another year! From the mulled wine aroma filling the halls and the buzz of happy shoppers, supporting small local business stalls to the sound of over excited children coming from all around, I really felt the Christmas spirit at the fayre this year.
My personal thanks go to all the ‘elves’ who made the school look so beautiful for everyone to enjoy and who volunteered their time and energy to help on the stalls, in Santa’s Grotto and with the second-hand uniform sale as well as those who donated gifts, bottles and cakes. We simply CANNOT do this without you, so a huge thanks to you all.
A big thanks to all the Junior School students and BGS staff, who worked so hard in the Girls’ Room, running the stalls, painting nails and tattooing anyone who stood still for long enough with glitter! And thanks to everyone who attended the fayre and made it such a success, I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.
See you all at the next Association event!
Happy holidays to you all.
