On Thursday 5th October, our intrepid Year 11 tennis team ventured via the Dartford Crossing to compete in the LTA Youth Schools second knockout round at Bromley Tennis Centre, after successfully beating Leys School in September.  

Competing against 2021 US Open Champion Emma Raducanu’s former school, Newstead Wood Grammar School in Kent, we knew this would be a challenging contest from the outset. 

Although we didn’t emerge victorious in the matchup, we are incredibly proud of Year 11 students Alice Everitt who played against the U16 National Champion, and Jessica Parrish, Molly Brierley and Kate Woodward who fought for every point and even if they did not bump into Emma, they had a jolly good try searching every honours board with her name on it!
