On Tuesday 5th December, our Years 11 and Upper Sixth students headed off to London for a festive and fun-filled day at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park.
The students spent the day enjoying everything the event had to offer, including the Christmas Circus, The Big Wheel and some thrilling attractions (some of the staff did not have as much fun on the Ice Mountain roller coaster!). Not forgetting the incredible food that was available, from noodle bowls and freshly made pizzas, to churros and hot chocolates with whipped cream and marshmallows.
There were also a few extra seats taken up on the coach when returning back to school, filled by the large stuffed toys that were won on the fairground style games!
Millie Partridge (Upper Sixth) said: “I had an amazing time at winter wonderland, it was really nice to be able to relax and have a fun day with all my friends. It was an opportunity to destress and forget about all the pressures of upcoming exams for the day. My friends and I really made use of all the rides and food trucks, we left warm inside from the delicious hot chocolates we had on our way home (with a slight wobble in my stomach from all of the rollercoasters!).”
We hope that the day got the students into the Christmas spirit and we are looking forward to all of the festive events coming up next week.
