On a chilly Saturday 20th January, the school's Equestrian team displayed admirable spirit at the NSEA Home Counties Indoor Show Jumping Qualifiers held at Bury Farm in Leighton Buzzard.

Undaunted by the high level of competition our talented riders Larissa Brown (Year 8), Jess Yeoman (Year 11), and siblings Lucy Maudlin (Year 9) and Holly Maudlin (Year 11) competed against a huge number of schools from Herts, Beds, Bucks and Northants. 

In the 80cm and 90cm classes, Larissa with Ellie and Lucy with Twister both secured the Bedfordshire County Individual Championship titles, respectively. Notably, Lucy and Twister claimed the title of the fastest duo of the day across all counties in their class.

In the 80cm team jumping event, Jess, Larissa, and Lucy collectively placed a fantastic 4th. At the same time individually, Larissa placed 4th and Lucy 8th. Holly placed a brilliant 5th in the 110cm class with Perdie.

These outstanding results have also earned the equestrian’s qualification for the National County finals at Hickstead in May.
